Chuck Wright, Chief Executive Officer
Chuck joined RMCHCS in January of 2006 as Chief Executive Officer. Chuck comes to RMCHCS from Medford, Oregon, where he was CEO of the 168-bed Providence Medical Center and its 40 physician medical group for ten years. Chuck has been with Providence Health System for 21 years, including 8 ½ years in Alaska where he worked closely with the Indian Health Service.
Chuck received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee and his Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Arizona State University where he was a Foster McGaw scholar. He is a former US Army paratrooper medic and a Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran.
Chuck’s wife Jo is a middle school math teacher. Chuck and Jo enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, motorcycle touring, traveling and reading. Chuck also enjoys restoring old cars and motorcycles.
Elaine Bobo, Director of Marketing & Development
Elaine Bobo joined RMCHCS in 2002. She received her bachelor of science degree in Mass Media from Bob Jones University, in Greenville, South Carolina. She is currently working on a Master’s in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina. Elaine has worked on several political campaigns and also has experience in radio and television broadcasting.
Elaine is responsible for public relations and marketing at RMCHCS. She is also the Executive Director of the Western Health Foundation, the fundraising arm of RMCHCS.
Elaine is Vice President of the Gallup Rotary Club and also serves on the McKinley County Legislative Committee and is also a member of the Gallup/McKinley Chamber of Commerce Board.
Jody Knox, Chief Operating Officer
Jody Knox joined RMCHCS in February, 2007 as Group Practice Administrator. Previous to that she was the Regional Director of Physician Services for the 6-hospital Abrazo Health Care System in Phoenix.
Prior to coming to RMCHCS Jody also held a variety of administrative positions in Phoenix with National Surgical Hospitals, St. Luke’s Hospital and Community Hospital Medical Center and has served as a consultant with several national healthcare companies.
Jody started her career as a Registered Nurse with Scottsdale Healthcare. She holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Jody oversees the RMCHCS Clinics, dialysis units, laboratory, pharmacy and diagnostic imaging.
Jody has been involved in numerous community activities, has sat on multiple community Boards and is currently involved in the community as a Director for Healing the Children – Southwest Chapter.
Andy Kresha, Director of Human Resources
Andy Kresha joined RMCHCS in June of 2007 as the Director of Human Resources. Andy comes from Prescott, Arizona where he was the Director of Human Resources for 15 years at a non-profit community hospital that grew into a two-hospital system, Yavapai Regional Medical Center with 1800 employees. His Human Resources and Training experience spans over 25 years.
Andy received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Worthington, Ohio and his Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, Nebraska. He has served on community boards, volunteered at hospitals and jails as a religious visitor/chaplain, and is an ordained deacon in his church.
Andy and his wife, Vicky are avid hikers, readers, and enjoy travel to visit their two married children and to explore the great outdoors.
Deb Mohesky, Chief Financial Officer
Deb Mohesky has over 25 years of healthcare experience. She has a proven track record with turn-around situations and has worked in a wide variety of healthcare settings including: acute care, outpatient services, behavioral health, long-term acute care, and assisted living facilities. Her experience includes providing financial and organizational leadership within small community hospitals, multi-system facilities, and large international healthcare organizations.
Deb is also the principal owner of HealthStar Partners, LLC which is a turn-around company that focuses on financial and organization change leadership. She holds an MBA from Webster University and is currently a doctoral learner.
Melvina Murphy, Chief Nursing Officer
Melvina Murphy, RN, has been at RMCHCS for nearly 20 years. She was previously the Director of Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics and the Women’s Health Unit. She is currently working on a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico.
Melvina oversees Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Women’s Health, Surgery, rehabilitation services, cardiopulmonary and pastoral care.
Mary Poel, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Mary Poel has served as Vice President for Medical Affairs since 2002. She attended medical school at University of Michigan School of Medicine and received pediatrics training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Poel moved to Gallup in 1981. From 1981-1991, she served as a pediatrician at Christian Medical Associates. She joined the staff of RMCHCS in 1991.
Dr. Poel has also served as chairman of the RMCHCS Department of Pediatrics and as Chief of Staff for RMCHCS. She has been involved in several parent training programs and has taught parenting classes for many years. Dr. Poel oversees the three RMCHCS clinics and the RMCHCS Providers.
Mary and her husband, Rick Kruis, who is an emergency physician at Gallup Indian Medical Center, have three children and one grandchild.
Sherri Schuman, Director of Quality & Risk Management
Sherri Schuman, RN, has been with RMCHCS for thirteen years and has nearly 25 years of nursing experience. She received her nursing degree from University of North Carolina.
Sherri oversees quality, risk management, infection control, employee health, safety and emergency preparedness.
Sherri and her husband Bill have two children.
